資料館の入口近くに閑谷黌の黌長、私立閑谷中学校の校長を務めた西毅一の碑があります。この碑についての詳しい説明は「閑谷学校研究」の第八号に掲載されています。We have a stone monument of Nishi Kiichi near the entrance of Shizutan history museum. Nishi Kiichi is a school principal who rebuilt Shizutani School. Detailed description of this monument is carried in No-8 issue of ‘Shizutani school study’.
