閑谷神社本殿の保存修理を行う為、御神体である池田光政像を岡山県立博物館に移動させることになりました。写真は御神体を移動させる際に行われる「御魂抜き」といわれる神事の様子です。
It was determined that the object of worship(the statue of Ikeda Mitsumasa) would be transferred to Okayama prefectural museum due to the repair for conservation of Shizutani Shrine’s main hall. A Shinto ritual named ‘Mitama-nuki’ was performed with stateliness by Kan-nushi(Shinto prayer) in order to remove its soul from the statue.
