飲室の天井です。飲室には炉がありますが、炭火以外の使用を禁じていたので天井が煤で黒くなるようなことになりませんでした。This is a ceiling part of Inshitsu(the tea break room).
There is a irori fireplace at the central of the room. However, only charcoal was usable there to prevent blaze at that time. Therefore maybe you will be surprised at the clean ceiling without soots.
