かつて資料館北側の高台には閑谷学校再興に尽力した私立閑谷中学校初代校長の西毅一の書斎、愈奮堂（ゆうふんどう）が建てられていました。In the past, at the northern hill of the history museum, there was a library called Yufundo of Shizutani private middle school’s founding principal Nishi Kiichi who made special effort to the renaissance of the school.
