今日は１日限定の閑谷神社本殿保存修理工事の現場一般公開の日です。まずは本殿の桔木（はねぎ）の多さに驚かされます。他にも本殿を永く保とうとする工夫が随所にあることを案内係の方が分かりやすく解説してくれます。この様子が再び見れるのは三十年以上先のことになるそうです。
Today is the only day for public visiting of Shizutani’s main shrine where you can see the anastylosis construction. Immediately after visiting there, a lot of Hanegi-logs(squared logs supporting eaves) must surprise you. The person in charge of the cultural asset department gives you easily understandable commentary about other structure which was designed to lengthen the life of the building. According to the person in charge, you have no chance to visit the inner shrine until 30 years later.
